چکیده

Aim: This article aims to investigate the degree and frequency of atherosclerosis using “Coronary Artery Disease Reporting Data System” (CAD-RADS) classification in patients who underwent coronary Multidetector Computed Tomography (MDCT) Angiography with a preliminary diagnosis artery disease were found have aneurysm (CAA) also discuss predisposing factors, prevalence, diagnostic criteria complications CAA CT images.Material Methods: We retrospectively evaluated examinations 3694 MDCT angiography. total 69 including 23 46 without CAA, terms atherosclerotic involvement CAD-RADS system compared findings. Results: was most frequently right (RCA), followed by left anterior descending (LAD), circumflex (LCX), main (LMCA), posterolateral branch (PLB). In observed vessels LAD, LCX, RCA, LMCA, respectively, while PLD, PDA detected an aneurysm. No 5 (21.7 %) 15 (32.6 (p>0.05). Conclusion: The number stenosis calculated scoring are similar fact that is important factor etiology aneurysms may explain this situation.

Evaluation of iron status in patients with coronary artery disease

Background: Iron can causes lipid peroxidation in vivo and in vitro. Iron  promotes myocardial injury in experimental animals. Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation by oxidants including iron have a central role in atherosclerotic process. By this means, evaluation of serum iron in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) has a significant importance. Materials and Methods: In this cross s...

Evaluation of Serum Levels of Mannose Binding Lectin-2, Tenascin-C in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of death worldwide and continues to increase in prevalence compared to previous decades, in part because of the aging of the world population. Atherosclerotic CVD starts at a very young age and progresses over time allowing sufficient time for screening and early detection of the condition. Advances in biomarker research and developments related t...

A study of iron status in patients with coronary atherosclerosis

Background: It has been demonstrated that free oxygen radicals have a close interaction with lipid peroxidation, causing a modification of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and facilitating LDL deposition, with the consequent formation of atherosclerosis plaques. Free radical production is catalyzed and accelerated in the presence of iron. This study was conducted to evaluate the possible associ...
